Economic connectivity of serial devices to a network
Serial Servers Digi PortServer TS offer seamless connectivity solution, secure and reliable IP across teams and teams that have only RS-232, 422 or 485. Configurable through a friendly web interface where you configure the serial interface type of each physical port (RS-232, 422 or 485) and is associated with a TCP or UDP port to each of the PortServer physical. Once configured, the PortServer redirects UDP or TCP traffic that comes through its Ethernet port only to their respective serial ports (based on the TCP or UDP), and vice versa.
The PortServer TS incorporates Digi RealPort ® software, which provides local serial port functions as well as incoming and outgoing sessions Rlogin and Telnet on each port. Digi Port Authority-Remote (DPA-Remote) gives PortServer TS users a management tool for monitoring network activity and serial devices from a client or server on Windows or UNIX.
In addition, the PortServer TS SSH v2 encryption features to protect against unauthorized monitoring of LAN traffic as well as temporary storage port (port buffering), which can be used to obtain vital information from the serial ports UNIX server network and solve the problems that arise.
