The SCADAPack 314 is equipped with a powerful 32-bit ARM7 processor and 32 MHz clock, an Ethernet port, two serial ports, 16MB Flash ROM, 4MB RAM and 4KB CMOS EPROM, 8 configurable analog input points, 16 digital inputs, 10 digital outputs and 3 inputs for counters (0-10 kHz). The SP 314 is ideal for gas flow measurement and arithmetic applications that require intensive sampling times fast, large memory capacity and networking. Typical applications include control systems, compressors, water treatment plants, flow computers, power distribution, and any other application that requires high processing power, communications and short sampling times.
The SP 314 share the same development tools and expansion modules with other SP family members. All applications written for other family members SP can be easily adapted to the SP 314, while being enhanced with the capabilities of high capacity networks or processing of the SP 314. The base module of the SP 314 is 100% compatible with other SP family members, so it does not require any changes to the field wiring for replacement.
The SP 314 provides two serial ports, one RS-232 and one RS-485. The RS485 port is perfectly suited for "Multi-Drop", such as small tools and multivariable transmitters. The RS232 supports complete management of hardware signals for managing radios and modems. All serial ports are multifunctional and can be used as Modbus masters or slaves, each with its own network address. The SP 314 is very well suited for demanding applications such as data concentration and management of network traffic. The serial ports support Modbus and other protocols such as DNP 3.0 or DF1. You can add specific protocols using software tools.
