Supply, Installation, Configuration and Testing of Communication System Based in SDH FO Multiplexers.

Customer Name: C.A. Energía Eléctrica de Barquisimeto, ENELBAR.
Service Description: Supply, Installation, Configuration and Testing of Communication System, conformed by nine (09) multiplexer nodes working in accordance to the SDH format. The Project includes the following:

• Supply, Configuration, Installation and Start up of the equipment conforming to Fiber Optic rings based on the GE Multilin TN1u multiplexer. The TN1u multiplexers compliance SDH format and are running at STM-4 (622 Mbit/s). The first ring is conformed by 6 nodes and is distributed in the Barquisimeto City metropolitan area. The other ring has three nodes and is distributed in the city of Carora. The main features of the equipment is listed below:

• Designed and built for industrial critical applications, supporting environmental conditions and electromagnetic conditions present in Electrical Substations.

• Includes service interfaces for data and telecom, as telephony interface, low speed data interface and fast Ethernet interfaces

• o Includes electrical teleprotection applications interfaces as Direct Trip Transfer, Pilot Wire Teleprotection and G.703 interfaces.

• Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and Site Acceptance Test (SAT).

• Practical and Theoretical training for ENELBAR personal.

• Technical support services.

This communication system satisfies the current and future needs of the operational and corporative telecommunications of ENELBAR, and an expansion on node numbers of this system is being on study actually by ENELBAR.

The project began on October 2005 and is scheduled to be finished on July 2006.
